Importify: vehicle import, sales and purchase agreements, signed online

How Importify, a New Zealand vehicle importer, sends its import service, sales and purchase agreements for online signing, built on its own contract PDFs.

Importify is a New Zealand vehicle importer. Its import, sales and purchase deals each need a signed agreement. EasySign is built on the signing system Webgun made for Importify, which went live on 29 September 2026.

Our agreements used to go out as PDFs and come back after a lot of chasing. Now when a customer pays for an import on our website, their agreement is created and sent without anyone at Importify touching it. They sign on their phone, on our own signing site, and the completed copy is filed before we have to think about it.

Before

Agreements went out as emailed PDFs, and getting them back complete took manual follow-up.

What Importify signs online

Three agreement types run on the system:

  • Import Service Agreements, for customers who ask Importify to import a vehicle for them.
  • Sales Agreements, for local New Zealand sales, plus international sales in US and Australian dollars, euros and British pounds.
  • Purchase Agreements.

Customers sign on Importify's own signing site, sign.importify.co.nz, so the link carries Importify's name. That is the same custom signing domain option EasySign offers.

Built on the original contracts

Importify's agreements are built from its original contract PDFs. The original pages are kept byte for byte; values are stamped onto them, and the buyer's answers and signature are added on top. The legal wording is never retyped, so what the customer signs is word for word the contract Importify wrote.

Sent with no staff step

When a customer pays for an import request on the Importify website, the Import Service Agreement is created from what they entered in the form and sent to them automatically. Nobody at Importify has to prepare or send it.

How a deal is signed

  1. Staff fill their side: the vehicle, the price and the terms.
  2. The director's signature goes on, from his saved signature, applied with his recorded consent.
  3. The customer completes their parts on any device, guided step by step: a Yes or No for each optional service, initials on each page, and the signature last.
  4. Reminders go out automatically to anyone who has not finished.
  5. The completed copy, with its signing certificate, goes to the customer, the sender and Importify's sales inbox, and is filed against the customer's record.

Results

We will add results here once there is enough real use to report them fairly. Until then, this page describes how the setup works, not what it has achieved.
